Theological Leadership and Academic Mission
As the Founding Director of the Kardinal Walter Kasper Institute for Ecumenism, Theology, and Spirituality, he has dedicated decades to fostering unity within the Christian faith, deepening priestly spirituality, and engaging theology with real human questions. His academic work is grounded in lived faith, drawing from Scripture, tradition, and the pastoral realities of the modern world.

Alongside his scholarly contributions, Fr. Augustin serves as Priest Chaplain of the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart, accompanying clergy through formation, reflection, and spiritual care.
